Renewed Member service in a new decade

Happy New Year and welcome to 2020! We are kicking off the new decade with BIG news and changes as we continue to live out our mission to provide exceptional, comprehensive and innovative financial solutions, delivered with uniquely personal Southland service.

I am thrilled to announce that we will soon roll out big changes to our credit card offerings, including a new Visa Platinum with cash back rewards, and a new Smart Visa designed for first-time cardholders. Our entire suite of cards, including debit, membership, HELOC and the Visa cards, will get a fresh design update as well.

Our public-facing website will also undergo a major update this quarter with a complete design refresh as well as several new feature enhancements. I am especially pleased to announce that our new site will feature an innovative financial education platform with integrated personalized learning paths so you can access the answers you need. 

One of our most impactful updates this quarter will be to online and mobile banking. We heard our Members loud and clear last year, so we have been working diligently to prepare several enhancements that are ready to roll out this quarter. You will soon see a big change to the user interface in your mobile app. You will also see enhanced security features as well as a few new helpful features in both the mobile and online platforms. 

I would like to thank and recognize each Member who took the time to share their experiences for our #CUSmile campaign. Your touching stories of how Southland influences your lives were shared throughout every department and branch at the Credit Union, and we are happy to share a few of those stories in this issue. The $1,000 winner will be announced on social media in January, so please follow us to find out who wins!

Finally, our Annual Meeting date is fast approaching on March 26. Every Southland Member is invited to attend and join us in reviewing our annual report.
